Passignano has many shows and events during its season. A great number of festivals and village parties organised by the various districts, make one relive antique values and pleasures.
The most important festival is the Palio delle Barche (the Boat Race) at the end of July, a spectacular and sturdy competition of strength and speed between all the districts of Passignano; then there is the Festa della Padella (The festival of the Frying-Pan) during which fish is fried in the world's largest frying-pan; the Giostra di Arrigo (Arrigo's joust) a historical re-evocation in gothic costumes; the extraordinary Presepe Vivente (Live Crib);the Befana dell'Oliveto which arrives by boat; and the Trasimeno Blues, the most popular musical event of the year.
